We look forward to seeing all of you at this year’s CLF (Chapter Leader’s Forum) is being held on Saturday, July 20th from 8am to 4pm at Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.
We are thrilled that our own Chapter Leader, Nicole Newman, will be one of the panelists at the “Engaging New Members” session from 10:00am – 11:30am.
This session is designed to communicate engagement strategies and acquired data pertaining to our 0-2 year and 2-4 year members. Strategies will be shared from a global perspective as well as local perspective.
Spring CMP Classes
If you are thinking of getting your CMP certification, we have just the study class for you! For nine weeks this spring meet with industry peers and study for the exam. The classes meet at The L.A. MPISCC Local Area Coordinators
Local Area Coordinators serve as a contact to assist with chapter and member communications, creating energy and promoting chapter events, programs and initiatives (such as carpooling to meetings); coordinating or facilitating the coordination of their region’s events (such as monthly Coffee’s with MPISCC); encouraging non-member participation in regional and chapter events with the intent of facilitating networking between all (member and nonmember) industry professionals within the geographic area; relaying potential new member information to the Director of Member Recruitment for outreach; and as available and interested, assist as a liaison/ambassador of your region assisting member networking at chapter events.
The program would divide the MPISCC territory into manageable geographic areas that currently have been defined as:
- Las Vegas
- Ventura (including Santa Barbara and the Valley)
- Inland Empire (Palm Springs, Ontario)
- Long Beach
- Downtown
- South Bay
- West LA

Hybrid Meetings Research Project
The results of MPI’s first Hybrid Meetings Research project, the most comprehensive study conducted on hybrid meetings, have just been released. Hybrid meetings are an emerging medium and they’re taking the industry in a whole new direction. Access the research and tools on mpiweb.org/hybrid.
